How To Successfully Link Your National Identification Number (NIN) With Your MTN Sim To Avoid Blocking

The news trending on the internet now is about linking your Sim card with your NIN Number.

The NCC issued out a warning that whoever doesn’t link their National Identification Number with their SIM will be blocked from using their mobile lines.

This report was made viral by the Special Assistant to president Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad.

Before proceeding to link your NIN with your mobile number, you have to first check if the NIN is already linked or not. If already linked, no action is required to be taken by you. If not, you will have to dial a USSD code to retrieve your NIN and then follow the procedure below to link it to your number.

Requirements To Successfully Link Your NIN With MTN

  1. First Name
  2. Last Name
  3. Middle Name
  4. Phone Number
  5. National Identity Number (NIN)
  6. Email address

MTN Nigeria has decided to make this simple for its customers, MTN customers can now link there NIN with there SIM online without any stress follow the below steps to link your NIN (national identification number) with your MTN number

How to Link MTN Line To NIN

To link your National Identification Number (NIN) with your MTN SIM, kindly follow the simple steps below:

Step 1: Dial *346# (costs N20) to retrieve your NIN (if you have it),

Step 2: Write down the eleven-digit number somewhere.

Step 3: Visit to submit your NIN alongside other details.

Step 4: You’ll receive an OTP code to finalise your submission.

Step 5: MTN will then proceed with their verification.

That’s all! You just link your MTN line to your NIN
